Where do you even
go
to buy
upmarket
vintage Muggle clothes from the 1940s that haven't previously been worn by someone else?

It's called
vintage
for a reason.

There is very little chance of finding something
truly
vintage that hasn't been worn, however a reputable dealer will make sure it's all properly cleansed and in excellent condition. That is how they charge the exorbitant prices for something that's both used and old, after all. If you're not one to wear something worn by others, I'd suggest looking for 1940's reproductions rather than vintage. Terminology makes all the difference.

We retained the services of a personal shopper. I can owl you the referral information if you wish. It was so much easier than trying to shop myself.

I'll go shopping with you, I know all the good places to look. Vintage stores are where I shop mostly, although to find truly 40s-style clothing you'll have to look hard.
Want any help?
